It appears that Samsung plans to release a new Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean device in the following months.

Dubbed Samsung EK-GC100, the mysterious device has been recently spotted in a WAP profile, though the source page was edited and some of the info removed.

All in all, the Samsung EK-GC100 has been listed with a 16:9 screen ratio and support for 1024 x 600 pixels resolution. Other details on said device are still a blur for the moment, but more info might emerge in the following weeks.

Given the fact that the new EK code is completely new for Samsung, any speculations on the identity of the device would be pointless at this time.

However, it won’t come as a surprise if the Samsung EK-GC100 is announced at IFA 2012 trade fair, which is set to kick off on August 31.
