Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation has been already rumored to plan launching a number of no less than 8 handsets with T-Mobile USA during the ongoing year, and a few more details on one of them have recently emerged into the wild. The said device should come as the successor of T-Mobile myTouch 3G, and is referred to either as myTouch2 or myTouch Slide.

According to an article on TmoNews, the successor of myTouch 3G should make an appearance on the market sometime in May, possible on the 17th day of that month, and sports the codename of Espresso. Those of you who might have watched the rumors on HTC and its Android-based devices should already recognize the Espresso name, which was previously said to point towards a successor of the highly-popular HTC Hero.

What is known so far on this device includes the fact that it might come with a QWERTY keyboard, a 528MHz processor (the same as myTouch 3G and Hero include), and a 320 x 480 pixel display. At the same time, rumors suggested that it would boast a new version of HTC's Sense solution, one that should look as in the screenshot attached to this article. With that “sidekick type keyboard,” the phone is expected to be quite appealing, yet it remains to be seen what other capabilities it will bring to the market.

In the meantime, we should also mention that TmoNews suggests that there will be three highly appealing devices released on T-Mobile's airwaves in the near future. One of them is the already unveiled HTC HD2, and the second is the myTouch Slide. As for the third of them, it should be a Garmin handset that just passed through FCC's courtyard with AWS bands on board, and which is expected to also land in May. Magenta seems set to provide its users with nice options when it comes to purchasing a smartphone (since Nexus One is also available for them), so stay tuned to learn additional details related to them.
