After its approval by the FCC, Sagem's latest release, the my400x GSM phone will arrive in the US in two versions, my400x and my401x. The phone itself is light (85gr) and small (105 x 46mm) and it has a thickness of only 14mm. It includes a 0.3MP camera positioned to the left, which supports resolutions of 640 x 480, and interestingly it has a mirror so that you can take your own pictures accordingly.

An interesting feature is the so called "Flight Mode", which enables people to use it without a SIM card, just like a PDA. Access to the Internet is provided through GPRS, the results being visualized in an integrated WAP 2.0 browser. It supports the latest version of Java: MIDP2.0 and the usual downloading of polyphonic sounds and ringtones, games and screensavers.

The screen provides a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels in 65k colors and easy access to all the features through well designed menus. The my401x version is tri-band, includes an MP3/ACC player and uses Bluetooth for communication purposes. Unfortunately, the low-end version, my400x is only dual-band (GSM 900/ GSM 1800) and it doesn't have Bluetooth or MP3/AAC player. Synchronization between the mobile and the PC is made through SyncML, which allows the easy transfer of the phonebook, agenda, images to the PC.

Its availability and the official price have not been announced yet.
