Google recently updated My Tracks application for Android devices with several improvements and new features.

The most important change is the ability to play back the tour directly on Google Earth for Android. In addition, the aggregation of statistics over time now shows trends in user’s performance.

Google also improved flow for sharing a track, as well as the flow for inserting markers. There’s also a new option to use track location as the default track name.

Last but not least, the application’s user interface has been redesigned to offer a much easier and simple browse. All charts and stats tables are also easier to read now.

My Tracks 2.0 is now available as a free download via Google Play store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up.
