To return me recommendations

Google Video recently included Recommendations that is currently helping the search giant to provide alternative clips for every user. However, the way the function works is not quite clear, but I guess it is somehow similar to the recently introduced Web History. As you might know, Web History is an improved version of Search History that provides useful information concerning the past queries made by the users. The Recommendations function gathers all this data and analyzes it, returning similar clips uploaded on the page.

The feature might be also based on the tags entered by the user so every time you search for a clip with a certain tag, let's say "car", Google Video will display some of the movies with "car" as a tag. However, the function is useful for the Google Video fans, because once you've searched for a specific type of clips, you're then able to view similar videos just from your account's page.

This function raises an old concern for the users because some of them were afraid that their searches might become available for other visitors of the Google services. However, the Web History function can be disabled and, if you want to avoid logging your information, this function is the easiest way to do it. However, the Web History feature provides you even more power and helps you remove only a part of the log, allowing you to keep other entries. If you want to remove the videos, you must login to your account, click on the Web History link, and then choose Videos. After that, you must click on Remove Items and select the clips you want to remove from the history.
