David Tutera has helped countless couples to get their dream wedding on WE tv’s “My Fair Wedding,” whose host he is, but his own marriage – or domestic partnership more likely, since he lives in California – is coming apart.

TMZ reports that the TV star and his partner Ryan Jurica have decided to legally end their relationship.

“Tutera and his longtime partner Ryan Jurica had a big wedding ceremony in Vermont back in 2003, but since they live in California (where gay marriage is not recognized) they filed for a domestic partnership,” the celebrity publication writes.

A breakup is always a hard thing to get over, but it’s particularly challenging when children are involved, which is also the case here.

The same media outlet writes that Tutera and Jurica are to become parents this summer.

“[David is] seeking to end the domestic partnership because of ‘irreconcilable differences’ [and] according to the docs, filed in LA County Superior Court, a surrogate is set to give birth to TWINS for the couple... and she's due in July,” TMZ writes.

Tutera is asking for full custody, with only visitation rights for Jurica.

“He also doesn't want to pay a nickel in spousal support, but wants Ryan to foot the bill for all legal fees related to the split,” adds the same report.

In a separate post, TMZ writes that the breakup is even less amicable than it might already seem: two days before Tutera’s filing, Jurica also filed papers, alleging that his husband’s wandering eye was the cause of the split.

Moreover, he claims that the TV host is addicted to random acts of intimacy, for which reason he can’t stay in a monogamous, committed relationship.

Jurica also writes that Tutera ended the 10-year relationship even though he was still willing to work things out. Admittedly, Jurica turned to alcohol for solace afterwards, and had to go to rehab.

Jurica too is seeking sole custody of the yet to be born twins.
