Hide the women and children and cover their ears as some serious rocking's about to happen. I'm talking about the new Guitar Hero II My Chemical Romance Pack just made available on the Xbox Live Marketplace. The pack includes the songs "Teenagers", "Famous Last Words" and "This is How I Disappear" and it's too bad they didn't include the wonderful "Mama" song, because it rocks.

If you're a fan of the band or just want to test your guitar playing skills with these new songs, you should spend the 500 Microsoft Points and get the pack. Otherwise, wait for a metal pack or something heavier, although I bet that we'll never see bands like Cradle of Filth in Guitar Hero. The fact that some of the most unknown songs of famous rocking bands were always selected for the game's tracklist puzzled many reviewers and gamers.

Many are still waiting for a Metallica inclusion, more Iron Maiden hits, perhaps even some Nirvana and maybe a little bit of punk rock to spice things up. Will Guitar Hero III go all the way, including all these songs and covering all the sub-genres of rock music? I highly doubt that, considering that the included songs must have pretty mild lyrics, fairly long solos and an easy to pick up beat... Under these circumstances, many gamers choose to hack their way into the system and play the Guitar Hero II songs of their choice.

However, such methods are as illegal as mod chips and downloading games, so we're stuck with waiting for the song packs of our favorite bands and hoping for some decent content next time the producers decide to launch extra content for the game. Will Rock Band face the same problems, with the limited tracklist and all or will it allow you to customize your song list? We'll just have to wait and see.

Here's a video showing Gerard Way from My Chemical Romance playing his own song in Guitar Hero II:
