14 DAY TRIAL // Cricket has recently announced that the Muve Music is now available for purchase in all Cricket markets. Demoed at the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show, back in January, the Muve Music service was officially announced on December 20, 2010.
Although the carrier stated that it would gradually roll out the music service, it took more than five month to make it available in all Cricket markets.
The latest markets to get the Cricket Muve Music service include Fort Smith, Jonesboro and Little Rock, AR; Fresno, Merced and Visalia, CA; Macon and Savannah, GA; Boise, ID; Lincoln and Omaha, NE; Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse, NY; Reno, NV; Fayetteville, NC; Oklahoma City and Tulsa, OK; Charleston, SC; and Spokane, WA.
Cricket's Muve Music is the first wireless rate plan that includes unlimited talk, text, Web and unlimited music downloads to the mobile phone for just $55 a month.
According to Cricket, Muve Music has an extensive catalog of music content which includes some of the major record labels, including Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group, and EMI Music, as well as music from 50+ countries through indie aggregator IODA
Cricket is among the first carriers to offer unlimited music without any downloading fees or monthly music subscription.
“Cricket customers across the country are enjoying Muve Music. We are excited that approximately 50 thousand customers are now on the service and we expect to have 100 thousand Muve Music customers soon,” said Doug Hutcheson, president and chief executive officer of Cricket Communications.
The $55 per month Muve Music wireless rate plan includes Unlimited nationwide calling, Unlimited nationwide text, picture & video messaging, Unlimited global text messaging, Unlimited mobile Web, Unlimited email, Unlimited data back up, Unlimited video, Unlimited full track downloads, Unlimited ringtones, and Unlimited ringback tones.
However, the service is only available with the Samsung Suede, which can be purchased for $199, but prices may vary by market.
