Version 3.7.5 of Mutter, a window and compositing manager that displays and manages your desktop via OpenGL, is now available for download and testing.
Mutter 3.7.5 is part of the upcoming 3.7.4 desktop environment, a development release of the famous desktop environment, which, in time, will become GNOME 3.8.
Among the highlights of Mutter 3.7.5, we can mention the addition of a meta_window_set_icon_geometry() method and improvements for the unredict heuristics. The developers also chose to make meta_window_located_on_workspace() public.
There are also some updated translations and bugs fixed in this development release of Mutter. A complete list of all the changes can be viewed in the raw changelog.
Download Mutter 3.7.5 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
