Mutter, a window and compositing manager that displays and manages your desktop via OpenGL, has reached version 3.2.2.
Owen Taylor has announced that Mutter 3.2.2 was released to fix a rare crash occurrence, in unredirected full-screen windows, and a memory leak that plagued the previous version. The contributor were Jasper St. Pierre, Adel Gadllah.
Mutter 3.2.2 also has a couple of language translations updates, from Krishnababu Krothapalli for Afrikaans and Nguyễn Thái Ngọc Duy for Vietnamese.
Mutter combines a display engine using the Clutter toolkit with solid window-management logic inherited from the Metacity window manager.
Although it can be used stand-alone, it is primarily intended to be used as the display core of a larger system such as GNOME Shell. It can be enhanced by plug-ins and it's utilized in conjuncture with GNOME Shell.
