Every year at Oscar-time, Jimmy Kimmel delivers an ensemble sketch that redefines what can be done in television and comedy talk shows, on the condition that you know the right people. Kimmel is as much a talk show host as he’s a celebrity, which means he has enough pull with the stars to get them to take part in these sketches.

And it’s a good thing that he does, because the world would be a much less fun place without skits like the one included below. Welcome to The Kimmel School of Perfect Acting, or a 2-part segment that includes the biggest names in Hollywood right now, explaining how they basically owe their career to The Master, Jim Kimmel.

Behind every great actor, there is a master. Kimmel is it.

The sketch includes anyone from this year’s Oscar hopefuls and past winners like Benedict Cumberbatch, Eddie Redmayne, Lupita Nyong’o, and Gary Oldman, to other famous actors like Jennifer Aniston, Susan Sarandon, Kristen Bell and Emily Blunt, and Hollywood heavyweight producer Harvey Weinstein.

Jeff Bridges “The Dude” makes an appearance, as also does Kimmel’s longtime good friend slash faux-enemy Matt Damon, hilariously credited as “Demen.” He, by the way, is still in that stage in which he has to learn how to play a lamp or a chair more convincingly.

Do take a few minutes off your schedule to watch this, you won’t regret it. Enjoy!
