James Gandolfini, known worldwide for his chilling portrayal of a mobster in the hit HBO series “The Sopranos,” died this week in Italy, while on vacation, of a suspected heart attack.

While the authorities are looking into his death and the tabs are keeping busy with speculation on the topic, fans choose to honor the life and work of an outstanding man through tributes of the latter, like the one embedded above.

James Gandolfini might have had his issues in life, as a man, but in front of the camera, he was nothing short of a true professional who strove to always do his best to bring a character to life.

Whether in comedies, children’s movies, or dark thrillers, he always brought warmth, realness, and depth to every one of his characters.

For that – and for so much more – he will forever be alive in fans’ hearts.
