As if directing “Star Trek” wasn’t enough to make J.J. Abrams a favorite director with millions, he was also recently signed to helm the upcoming “Star Wars” installment. If you think you have no more room for love for him in your heart, think again.

Below, embedded at the end of this post is perhaps the funniest, wittiest and most awesome promotional interview I’ve seen in a very long while.

Abrams, who never talks about his projects in great detail until they’re out, stopped by Jon Stewart to promote “Star Trek Into Darkness.”

Of course, he was asked a gazillion questions about “Star Wars” too, including some of most burning like what’s the difference between the two?, which one is better?, etc.

He also had to find all sorts of delicate ways to break it to Stewart that he has no intention of casting him as a Jedi in “Star Wars.”

On the same note, J.J. Abrams didn’t even like “Star Trek” when he was young – and didn’t start to until he began work on the 2009 reboot.

Enjoy!
