14 DAY TRIAL // Kanye West can sit down now. He can also stop ranting about the Grammys 2015 and how The Recording Academy is disrespecting artistry and inspiration by not giving Album of the Year to Beyonce for her self-titled release.
This year’s edition, which took place last Sunday, saw Beck walk home with the much coveted trophy, considered the biggest award of the night, for his album “Morning Phase.”
Kanye, who is a close friend of Beyonce and her husband Jay Z, had a moment when he walked up on stage to take Beck’s award to hand it to Queen Bey, and then, as if that weren’t bad enough, he delivered a very Kanye-like rant to cameras backstage about how Beck should have given the award to Beyonce himself. Because he’s not a real artist, you know.
Obviously, the thought that these 2 artists might coexist never entered Kanye’s mind. Not only they can, but they might also make amazing music together if they had the chance, as the mashup below, posted to SoundCloud, proves.
It’s a mashup of Beyonce’s “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” and Beck’s “Loser” and it’s hilariously dubbed “Single Loser (Put a Beck on It)” by artist Beckyonce. The name might be funny, but as Kanye would say, the song is dope.
