There are plenty of apps in the Windows Store that let you listen to music posted on YouTube, but there's one program whose purpose is to make this entire experience faster and easier.

Its name is MusicTube and thanks to an update released today, it works even faster and easier on all Windows 8.1 devices, thus helping users listen to their favorite music without even leaving the Modern UI.

According to the official release notes, the app comes with fixed VEVO videos and implements some buttons to play top tracks, albums, and artists, so it should be easier to find new content to listen to.

“MusicTube is a free YouTube music video player! It's like Spotify, YouTube and Last.fm all together! Powered by Last.fm and YouTube,” the updated app description published in the store today reads.

Of course, it continues to provide support for all Windows 8.1 versions on the market, including the touch-optimized Windows RT which powers tablets such as Microsoft's own Surface RT. The update is being delivered to all these devices via the Windows Store, no matter the version powering them.

All in all, this is an update that comes in very handy to VEVO fans, so go ahead and download MusicTube for Windows 8.1 manually to see what it brings new.
