According to Mashable, Wasabi-chan had some stomach issues prior to her death, and even had to be hospitalized for a while.
It hasn't been confirmed yet, but these tummy aches may be the ones to blame for her death.
As previously reported, this adorable kitten was the survivor of a crow attack that had left her with a fractured jaw and a hole in her throat.
The people who found her and took her under their care made Wasabi-chan wear the mushroom costume to keep her from fidgeting and further injuring herself.
