14 DAY TRIAL // iPhone Dev Team member Musclenerd has issued a warning to all jailbreakers and unlockers informing that iOS 5.0.1 is to be avoided, if they wish to retain the ability to hack their device in the future.
Not technicalities are dished out this time around, but Musclenerd’s message is crystal clear: “Jailbreakers and unlockers should avoid today's 5.0.1 until a flow for downgrading to 5.0 is developed.”
The iOS hacker community has been having a rough time jailbreaking the newest versions of Apple’s mobile OS, as well as the newest device models, such as the iPhone 4S and the iPad 2.
Currently there is no solution that can provide an untethered jailbreak for new devices, with the exception of a Redsn0w hack for old-bootrom iPhone 3GS models.
