Yet another in the long series of the 'world's first' products has emerged, only this time it seems that iBuyPower is not just driving a strong marketing campaign. The company has proudly introduced what is dubbed as the world's first multi-touch gaming laptop. This product packs high-end processing, memory and graphics components and aims to make gaming more interactive through the recognition of multiple touch inputs.

The device is powered by highly capable Intel Core 2 Duo processors and may pack up to 4GB of DDR3 SDRAM at 1333MHz or 8GB at 1066MHz. Graphics capabilities are provided by the Mobility DDR3 512MB ATI Radeon HD 4650 and storage may be provided by either a hard drive (HDD) of up to 500GB or a solid state drive (SSD) of up to 160GB. The more notable feature of the product, however, is, naturally, its multi-touch screen. The Touch CZ-10 uses a 15.6" WXGA touch display with a maximum resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.

"We believe multi-touch compatibility is the future of mobile gaming," Darren Su, vice president of iBuyPower, said. "We are proud to be the first company to market with a multi-touch gaming notebook and look forward to all the new multi-touch games due out this year."

Other features of the gaming notebook include a 3-in-1 card reader, Gigabit Ethernet connectivity, 802.11 a/g/n WiFi and a 2.0-megapixel webcam. The device also boasts 3D Surround Sound and will be running the Windows 7 Home Premium operating system.

The iBuyPower Touch CZ-10 multi-touch gaming notebook PC has a starting price of $999, but, depending on the configuration, the price may even escalate to around $1,840 if the highest performing configuration is selected. In addition, end users can even choose to spend an extra $150 for the 'Flame' theme instead of the metallic black case.

The product is already available for pre-order.
