Sony is one of the main suppliers of e-book readers in the world, much like Amazon and B&N, and it has been developing a new such device, one that has finally been spotted online.

E-book readers are something that many a consumer has bought as a present or for one's self.

Though there seem to be many people with a taste for reading, many of them are often put off by the size of paper stacks and such.

Electronic E-book readers are much easier to log around, and the e ink grayscale screens imitate real paper closely enough that users don't have to spend too long adjusting.

Sony is one of the companies involved in this market segment, its product line set to be updated soon.

Indeed, the Reader PRS-T1, as it is called, was spotted online at MobileRead and, though it was later removed, Bol.com as well.

Even photos of it were provided, finally giving prospective buyers a clear enough idea of what they are in for.

Overall, it is an improved PRS-650, with a microSD card slot instead of a full-sized SD slot, plus an E-Ink pearl display whose diagonal length is 6 inches.

Speaking of the display, Sony went ahead and made it capable of tracking multiple touch points at the same time.

Meanwhile, the item will link to online libraries and perform downloads thanks to the WiFi connectivity technology.

Other specifications include 2 GB of integrated storage space (a memory card easily adds to that), a plastic case (it makes it much lighter, at 168 grams or so) and a bundled stylus (for annotations and handwriting).

All in all, the e-reader does not have too great a set of advantages over its predecessor, and it definitely does not fit the image of an Android-loaded wonder that some may have built. Finally, the product will sell for roughly 164.95 Euro
