Google Maps is a service developed by Google that will display you maps of a specific region, giving you details about countries,
cities and even driving directions. Beside the main service, the search giant also offers you the possibility of adding Google Maps into your website by using Google Maps API implementation. The service was improved periodically so, it became one of the most popular solutions in this category.
This time, the company improved Google Maps in silence, without offering an official statement or even a blog post to announce the new function. It seems this is related to the driving directions function, that helps you find the best direction for your trip.
The feature was identified by multiple Internet users, being posted by Phillipp Lenssen from Google Blogoscoped. "Google added a feature that lets you add multiple destinations to your driving directions. For example, I'm searching Google Maps for [from stuttgart, germany, to cologne, germany]. Then there's a link titled "Add destination..." below the left-hand description; clicking it, I can enter a third destination ([aachen, germany], in this case), and another marker will be added to the map," he said.
As you may know, Google Maps is a powerful rival for Yahoo Maps, another service that was meant to provide you maps captured from satellite as well as other powerful features that will help you identify specific elements.
"Note Google put some thought into the usability details: the first marker is green with a "play" icon, the second marker is yellow with a "pause" icon, and the final marker is red with a "stop" icon..." Phillipp also mentioned.
If you're interested in testing the new feature, you should follow
this link but you must know that the loading time is different from one Internet connection to another.
