Qtractor, an audio/MIDI multi-track sequencer application written in C++ with the Qt4 framework, is now at version 0.5.7.

The target platform for this software is Linux, where the Jack Audio Connection Kit (JACK) for audio and the Advanced Linux Sound Architecture (ALSA) for MIDI are the main infrastructures to evolve as a fairly-featured Linux desktop audio workstation GUI.

Highlights of Qtractor 0.5.7:

• Loop and punch in/out ranges may now get set simultaneously, and may even overlap each other; • LV2 Worker/Schedule now supporting multi-instance vs. single-UI scenarios; • LV2 Options and Buf-size extension support has been added; • An off-by-one-tick bug on MIDI file input, which was leaving spurious zero-length runt notes at the end of a MIDI clip, was fixed.
