The man who, years ago, became an icon because of his impressive physique and unique way of accessorizing has adopted a drastic change-over, completely different from his earlier signature look.

Mr. T will give up his many gold chains and huge medallions in a humanitarian action for the victims of hurricane Katrina. The actor says that he spent a lot of time among those people and, having direct contact with their tragedy, has decided to do more than just stand by and watch.

'I say some, I call it 'sorry celebrities'. They'll go down there and hook up with the people to take a photo-op. I said 'How disgusting'. If you're not going to go down there with a check and a hammer and a nail to help the people, don't go down there.', said the star in a recent interview.

So, Mr. T's bank account and strength are finally going to be put to good use, as he seems very set on really offering a hand and giving something back. Lawrence Tero also said that he is more than just the rough man we saw on TV, good at only beating people up. He also has brains and a good heart, as anyone can see from his latest gesture.
