Last month Mozilla’s own Asa Dotzler revealed that the first Firefox OS tablet ever would be the InFocus New Tab F1, and preparations for launching the device appear to be moving along swiftly, as the tablet has just briefly stopped for a visit at the FCC.

Versions of the InFocus New Tab F1 are already available in some parts of the world, but the upcoming Firefox OS device will certainly be the company’s highlight.

As a memory round up, the fiery tablet is expected to arrive equipped with a 10-inch IPS screen and a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The powerhouse of the device will be an Allwinner A31 ARM Cortex A7 quad-core processor, combined with PowerVR SGX 544MP2 graphics fitted with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

Furthermore, the tablet will include 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, two cameras (5MP on the back and 2MP in front), microUSB, microSD card slot, stereo speakers, A-GPS and a pretty capable 7000 mAh battery.

Is the slate popping in at the FCC any indication that it's going to be pretty soon spotted in the wild?
