Mozilla has been working for quite some time now on the building of a new mobile operating system set to arrive on the market as Firefox OS, and developers can now test their apps for the platform via desktop computers.

The company has just released Firefox OS simulator 1.0 so that app builders would be able to try out their software on computers running under Windows, Mac, and Linux.

For the time being, the simulator is available only as a preview, although many bugs have been resolved in it since initially announced a few weeks back. Various issues might still be present in the simulator, Mozilla notes.

According to the company, the Firefox OS is still in development, yet devs can already start building software for it. Have a look at the video above to learn more on the new Firefox OS simulator.
