Mozilla Thunderbird continues to be one of the most popular email clients on the market, even though the parent company has pledged not to introduce any new major features in the coming versions.

However, an update released today addresses a few bugs that have been reported in the previous builds and thus contributes to the overall stability and reliability of the app.

Mozilla Thunderbird 24.6 continues to provide support for the majority of desktop platforms on the market, including Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X, and features the same familiar user interface that helps users send and receive emails with just a few clicks.

As far as Windows is concerned, Thunderbird works on all of them, including Windows XP. Microsoft no longer rolls out updates and security patches for Windows XP, so it's pretty critical for many users to continue receiving software updates from large companies such as Mozilla.

The feature lineup of the app remains intact, so this particular update doesn't bring anything exciting, as it's only focused on fixing bugs and other issues in the older releases.

And still, it's still a recommended update for everyone running Mozilla's client, so click the download links below to get the new client as soon as possible and make sure that all bugs are fixed.
