I already told you some days ago that Mozilla has kick started its tablet developer program at CES 2014. The company plans to make the first Fire OS tablet, but it’s not going to be doing it alone.

New surfaced details coming to us via Digitimes, reveal that Mozilla has partnered up with Foxconn and Via Technologies to bring to life the world’s first Firefox tablet.

The slate will be powered by Via’s own ARM chips and targeted at developing markets as China or India, hence the products will come sporting a pretty light price-tag.

Mozilla has already taken the plunge into the mobile market by introducing a few entry-level Firefox enhanced smartphones, and now it is taking the next logical step with tablets. The tablets should arrive on the market by the end of the year.
