Just as people are "worrying" about the fate of Firefox, for no real reason except pageviews, Mozilla has made a video to showcase why Firefox was created in the first place and why people need Mozilla today as much as they needed it a decade ago.

The gist of it is, Mozilla is a non-profit organization. Its interests lie in making the web a better place.

Sure, Firefox development is led by Mozilla Corp., a for profit company, which makes quite a bit of money, mostly from Google, but all that money goes into making Firefox and promoting it.

Google Chrome is a great browser and it's not the only one. Even IE9 is a huge step forward from its predecessors. But Firefox is the only one that puts users first. And just in case it does need to find alternative revenue sources, you can make a donation to Mozilla yourself.
