Mozilla has just released a new version of Firefox for all users, so consumers running the beta build of the application should check for updates and deploy the new one as soon as possible.

Basically, Mozilla Firefox 28 beta 6 is not only a new preview version of the next stable build, but also one more step towards another iteration of the browser that’s also expected to include a Metro build supposed to be used on Windows 8 and 8.1.

There are no release notes available for this particular version, but keep in mind that it’s still in beta development stage, which means that a number of bugs could still exist.

Of course, just like the other beta releases rolled out by Mozilla so far, it comes with bug fixes and performance improvements, so a significant boost should be noticed after the update.

Overall, this is clearly a necessary upgrade if you’re still running the beta, so make sure you update right now. Those who don’t have the know-how to diagnose bugs and fix issues should get the stable build of Firefox 27.
