The Apple Watch is no good for watching Netflix

During April Fool’s day, most important key players in the tech industry aim to amuse the world with their elaborate pranks. For example, Samsung launched the Galaxy BLADE Edge edition, poised to be the “ultimate cooking companion” and Microsoft announced MS-DOS mobile to reboot its struggling smartphone efforts.

However, it appears that others have saved up their prank efforts for a later date, as you will see in the following story.

Today, Apple has finally opened up pre-orders for the Apple Watch and everybody is pretty psyched about that. But despite the fact that the Apple Watch is highly acclaimed, its teeny tiny display won’t let users enjoy some decent Netflix time. The same applies for any video streaming activities.

Luckily for us, Netflix has its own smartwatch that boasts a big enough display to let you comfortably watch your favorite TV shows and movies.

The Netflix Watch has been designed to let users experience absolute freedom in terms of content consumption. From now on, you won’t have to wait to get home to see what happens in the latest episode of “Gray’s Anatomy.”

Since the Netflix wearable is always with you, you’ll be able to watch your favorite videos anytime, anywhere. Getting a quick break from work? There’s a new “Breaking Bad” episode waiting for you. Afraid you won’t be able to get home in time for the latest “Game of Thrones”? Watch it while riding the subway.

You probably remember the Neptune Watch. Well, the Netflix one takes things even further by providing you with a spacious display (it’s basically a smartphone strapped to the wrist). For those who aim for real quality, the streaming service will offer the Netflix Watch Plus, which is capable of delivering a whopping 4K resolution.

Are you worried that you’re maxi smartwatch could fall off your wrist? You shouldn't, because you’ll be able to strap the wearable to your arm with double arm straps.

Going back to reality, sure Netflix’s April Fools came a little bit too late, but it’s pretty obvious they were targeting the major Apple Watch event happening today. On top of that, the prank is a good reminder that Apple Watch users won’t actually be able to use it to watch Netflix, so maybe the wearable hype needs to be toned down a little bit.
