Valeria Lukyanova is not new to the spotlight but she’s never gotten this much attention from the international press as she’s getting these days. Perhaps she could very well do without some, considering that she’s being plagued by claims that she’s a fake.

Those keeping an eye on celebrity gossip must already know that the main reason Valeria is so famous is because she’s fashioned herself into a sort of living Barbie doll.

In her recent interview with V Magazine, Valeria insists she’s all natural, denying ongoing rumors that she’s had extensive work done to look this dollish.

She says her outlandish look is all down to clever and artful makeup and excellent angles for when she poses for pictures.

Mounting evidence suggests that might not be entirely the case – like the video below, for example.

It’s just one of the many old videos that are now getting increased attention, as Valeria’s story has become a trending topic.

It shows older photos of her side by side to newer ones: the comparison is obviously meant to show that her Barbie looks could not possibly be explained by just clever makeup and different styling.

Word online has it she had at least a nose job, her lips plumped, her cheeks reshaped, lipo, breast augmentation and ribs removed to make her waistline this incredibly small.

However, if you confront her on plastic surgery rumors, Valeria will just say you’re probably jealous to think she’d do that and, just as importantly, lie about it afterwards.

“Many people say bad things about people who want to perfect themselves. It’s hard work, but they dismiss it as something done by surgeons or computer artists. This is how they justify not wanting to strive for self-improvement. It’s how they explain their continued inaction. It’s just an excuse,” she says.

“There are plenty of video clips on the Internet showing what I really look like. Some people even spread rumors about me and retouch my pictures to hurt me. But I don’t take them seriously. I’m even flattered! It’s what success is like. I’m happy I seem unreal to them, it means I’m doing a good job,” Valeria explains in the aforementioned interview.
