This weekend we were telling you the popular Nexus 6 has a bit of a problem with its back plate. Surely, this is not an issue all owners of the handset will stumble upon and chances are your Nexus 6 is fine and dandy.

But some users are apparently seeing their smartphone’s cover pop out on numerous occasions. Some have tried taking the problem into their own hands and attempted to solve the issue by pushing back the cover.

However, the technique doesn’t seem to do any good, because the back plate instantly comes unglued again. It looks like the material utilized to keep things together on the Nexus 6 is no longer doing its job properly.

What’s more disturbing is that some owners have noticed the battery is expanding in a way which prompts the cover to expand too and eventually pop out.

Some affected owners have contacted Motorola on Twitter asking what is going on and what they are to do. The manufacturer admitted that they had seen a few bad devices with the same problems, so it invited affected users to contact the company’s customer care team in order to receive a replacement.

Another way to go about solving things is to bring the handset back to the point of purchase and request a replacement from there.

The problems with the Nexus 6 popping back are surely annoying but the good news is that Motorola and the carriers offering the handset seem to be interested in getting things back on track for their customers who will hopefully not make a big fuss about it.

So if you’re one of the affected owners, contact Motorola or your local dealership in order to receive your replacement. We're keeping our fingers crossed that the new model won’t be plagued by the same troubles anymore.
