Mobile phone maker Motorola is rumored to be planning the launch of the next Nexus handset for the fourth quarter of the year, a recent Google+ post from Taylor Wimberly claims.

No official confirmation on the matter has been provided as of now, yet this is not the first time that such rumors emerge, as droid-life notes.

Furthermore, considering the fact that Motorola is a Google subsidiary, it would not come as a surprise if the company indeed released the next handset in the popular lineup.

Apparently, the upcoming smartphone won’t be a Moto X device, yet no further details on what it might include has been provided as of now.

Some of the previous reports on the upcoming Nexus also suggested that LG might be planning its release, and that it would build it based on LG G2, just as Nexus 4 was designed starting from LG Optimus G.
