Mobile phone maker Motorola announced today that it planned on launching three more Android-based handsets on the Canadian Market in 2010, including the Motorola BACKFLIP, DEXT and QUENCH, all of which sport the company's MOTOBLUR. The solution offers users the possibility to sync posts, feeds, messages, e-mails, photos and much more from sources like Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Gmail, Yahoo! and work email. MOTOBLUR brings them all to the homescreen in easy-to-view streams, so that users can enjoy an easier way to work with their handsets.

“We are thrilled to be bringing Canadians three unique MOTOBLUR handsets with all the major wireless carriers,” said Rick Gadd, vice president and sales general manager, Mobile Devices, Motorola Canada. “With MOTOBLUR, we are differentiating the Android experience and delivering phones that are truly instinctive and socially smart.”

Among the features MOTOBLUR comes with, we can count the ability to back up and restore contacts, log-in information, home screen customizations, and email and social network messages. Users can find lost or stolen phones from their online portal, courtesy of the integrated AGPS on the handset, and they can also wipe it clean from there. Not to mention that they can personalize their devices with applications and widgets from MOTOBLUR or the Android Market.

As for the handsets that will arrive in Canada with the solution, the Motorola BACKFLIP sports a unique reverse flip design, while also including a touchscreen display and a QWERTY keyboard that can prove a great option when it comes to writing texts, emails, social network messages and more. Moreover, the device also includes a unique BACKTRACK feature, namely a touch panel on the back of the device, so that users can scroll through web, texts or e-mails without obscuring the home screen.

The Motorola DEXT is the first Android-based device from Motorola, which sports a side-sliding QWERTY keyboard, as well as fast access to social networks. The handset includes a 5-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus as well, and enables users to easily upload photos to favorite sharing or social sites. Not to mention that it comes with dual microphones and noise cancellation technology so that one can benefit from clear calls even in noisy environments.

The Motorola QUENCH is the latest addition to the company's lineup of devices powered by Google's Android operating system. The phone does not sport a QWERTY keyboard, but it can deliver an enhanced browsing experience on its touchscreen display, while also delivering pinch and zoom capabilities, and more. All three handsets are expected to land in Canada in the first half of 2010 through all three national wireless carriers.
