Reportedly, mobile phone maker Motorola Mobility might delay the release of its newly unveiled DROID RAZR HD and DROID RAZR MAXX HD due to a series of issues with the antenna inside these devices.

Apparently, both the size and location of the antenna would be the problem here, along with the fact that it is located near phone’s outer case, and signal could degrade when it touches the chassis.

When unveiling these two smartphones, Motorola also announced the DROID RAZR M, which is already available for purchase at Verizon in the US.

As PhoneArena notes, DROID RAZR HD and RAZR MAXX HD has smaller antennae, while also having them differently placed than the DROID RAZR M.

Motorola is still looking for a holiday launch of these devices, though it is possible that it won’t have them ready for launch before Thanksgiving/Black Friday.
