Mobile phone maker Motorola appears to be finally ready to make its Moto Maker service available for users in more markets out there, with Germany expected to receive it in a couple of weeks.

In a recent post on its Facebook page, Motorola Germany has officially confirmed plans to launch Moto Maker in the country within two weeks, it seems.

Moreover, the company has announced that the service will be available exclusively through major retailer Phone House, as Android Central notes.

No further details on the matter have been provided as of now, but it appears that the Moto Maker will work in Germany exactly the same way it does in the United States.

To be more precise, users will be provided with the option to design the outer case of their phone the way they like it to be, by choosing one of the available options for the ear casing, accents and front panel of a new device.

However, Motorola has not provided info on how many color options will be available for users in Germany, and it remains to be seen whether all those currently up for grabs in the US will make it to this country as well.

At the same time, we have no details on the handsets that will be available for customization through the service in Germany, and chances are that Moto X will be the only one up for purchase for users in this market.

However, as TechnoBuffalo notes, Moto X is almost one-year old, which suggests that Motorola might be preparing a new version of the device for release in the not-too-distant future, and there is also the possibility that this phone model will be released in Germany too.

We’re referring here to the Moto X+1 smartphone that has emerged online a few times before, but which remains a mystery for the time being. Rumor has it that it will arrive with upgraded hardware specs compared to the original, and that it could sport a 5.2-inch full HD touchscreen.

In the meantime, we should note that Motorola made official a 64GB flavor of the Moto X only several weeks back (the larger amount of internal memory was the only thing that changed inside the phone).

As mentioned above, Moto Maker should arrive in Germany in only two weeks, which means that more details on the matter will be provided in the near future, so keep an eye on this space.
