Mobile phone maker Motorola has been rumored lately to plan the release of a new series of Android-based smartphones in the not too distant future, and it seems that it might make the first of these devices official at the Google I/O conference in May.

The handset is currently expected to become available for purchase sometime in the June – July timeframe, although some of the previous reports on this suggested that it might be launched later this year.

Furthermore, the new report on this unannounced Motorola X Phone claims that the device will be launched with the same battery as the DROID RAZR MAXX, and that it will certainly not include a flexible display.

What remains to be seen is what hardware specs the new device will include, and whether it will indeed be accompanied by an entire range of X Phones, as recently suggested.
