Mobile phone maker Motorola has just announced the availability of new handsets running under Google Android operating system, all of which are included in the company's MING line, namely the MT810, XT806 and A1680. The three new smartphones are aimed at the Chinese market, and have been packed with popular features in the MING series, as well as with the much praised Android capabilities, including touchscreen displays.

Each of the three new phones was designed to bring Android to the offering of a different carrier in the country, the company announced.

Thus, the MT810 includes support for China Mobile’s TD-SCDMA network, the XT806 comes with CDMA-2000 capabilities for China Telecom, while the A1680 is meant for China Unicom’s WCDMA network.

“The new MING smartphones reflect our focus on intuitive intelligence, and are designed to adapt themselves to you and your life,” said Mr. Frank Meng, Corporate Vice President and President, Greater China, Motorola Mobility.

“With MING we’ve combined our engineering expertise with a deep understanding of how people in China use their devices to create powerful, user-friendly smartphones that ‘feel just right’ and will bring great mobile experiences to our customers here,” he added.

With the launch of the three new handsets, the number of Motorola devices running under Android on the Chinese market has reached eleven, all of which landed in less than a year.

Moreover, the leading mobile phone maker announced that over 50 percent of the Android-based smartphones sold in China in the first half of the ongoing year were Motorola devices.

“With MING and Android we’re bringing together two great Motorola success stories in China,” said Mr. Bin SHEN, Vice President and General Manager, Asia Product Management, Motorola Mobility.

He also notes that Motorola's MING devices were highly popular in China due to the fact that they fit perfectly people's needs for their work, life and play. Moreover, Android was successful too in the country.

“By combining MING and Android, we’ve given Chinese professionals three great, new mobile devices for building their success designed exclusively for them,” Bin SHEN concluded.

All three new devices from Motorola come with an updated flavor of the MING flip design, including the signature transparent flip cover, while sporting full touchscreen displays and more.
