During the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in early January, mobile phone maker Motorola announced officially the launch of a series of new high-end Android-based mobile phones, including the ATRIX 4G and DROID Bionic, and some more details on these phones' price tags emerged.

Apparently, there is a great possibility that both of them would cost only $149.99 if purchased with a two-year contract agreement, at least this is what recent leaks from retailers suggest.

We already reported that the Motorola ATRIX 4G was spotted at Amazon with a price tag of $149.99 attached to it, with the signing of a contract agreement, and a leaked screenshot from Costco seems to confirm that cost.

Moreover, the Motorola DROID Bionic also made an appearance at Amazon, with the same price tag attached to it, Droid-Life reports. The listing page for this device was already pulled from Amazon's website.

Nothing was confirmed on the matter for the time being, and we'll have to wait for these handsets to be put on sale to know for sure whether they would indeed sport the said price tags.

When it comes to ATRIX 4G, we might not have too long to wait, since AT&T is expected to make it available for purchase as soon as February 14th, rumor has it.

However, the DROID Bionic will land on shelves a little later than that, as it is estimated to be launched only in May or June.

Both handsets come to the market with Google's Android operating system and are powered by the Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core application processor, which should provide users with great performance levels.

Moreover, both of them would offer 4G connectivity options, the ATRIX being compatible with AT&T's new HSPA+ network, while the DROID Bionic offering LTE (Long Term Evolution) capabilities.

Usually, high-end smartphones are priced at $200 on contract, or even higher in some cases, and it remains to be seen whether Motorola's new flagship handsets would indeed be $50 less.
