i776w by Motorola is yet another handset that made an appearance on Sprint's website. The new mobile phone, which comes with support for the carrier's Nextel Direct Connect network, is said to be an affordable clamshell that sports both a durable design as well as dependable capabilities. The Motorola i776w comes not only with push-to-talk functionality, but also with a wide range of useful productivity tools.

According to Sprint, the new device boasts a VGA camera, a flip form factor with a 128 x 32-pixel TFT external display that supports 64K colors, a 128 x 160-pixel TFT internal display with support for 64K colors, support for iDEN 800/900 MHz connectivity, and a Li-Ion battery that can deliver up to 205 minutes of talk time. The handset measures 3.39 x 1.8 x 0.8 inches (86.1 x 45.7 x 20.3 mm) and weighs 3.56 ounces (100.9 grams).

What the new Motorola i776w can deliver on Nextel Direct Connect includes:
- one-to-one push-to-talk communication nationwide with other Nextel Direct Connect subscribers;
- the possibility to coordinate activities with up to 20 other Nextel Direct Connect subscribers at the same time;
- International Direct Connect Calling (and International Direct Connect Roaming);
- Direct Talk, an all-digital off-network push-to-talk service that enables users to communicate with compatible phones on a short-range;
- Direct Send (pictures or contact information can be easily sent to compatible devices);
- NextMail, enabling users to send voice messages to any email address;
- Talk Group, through which users can assign combinations of up to 256 talk groups and Direct Talk channels.

A great deal of other capabilities are also present with the phone, including GPS navigation with turn-by-turn driving direction, Bluetooth connectivity, messaging capabilities, Push-to-Send My Info, Push-to-Send Contacts and Push-to-View (features through which users can exchange their contact information in a split of a minute), support for sending and receiving Multimedia Messages and built-in speakerphone.
