SouthernLINC Wireless, a Southern Company, announced the addition of the ''all-terrain'' Motorola i580 phone to its growing handset portfolio.

The Motorola i580 is
the first rugged iDEN clam phone designed to meet the strict military specifications for humidity, salt fog, blowing rain, dust, shock and vibration. The phone also provides InstantLINCSM Push to Talk, integrated Bluetooth technology, a removable MP3 storage card, a 1.3 mexapixel camera, video and messaging capabilities, plus all the features of the popular Motorola i870 handset, such as pre-installed and downloadable Java applications, picture caller ID and contact-assignable ring tones.

''The i580 is an ideal handset for individuals working under trying weather conditions or those who spend a lot of time outdoors. Many of our customers throughout the Southeast requested an 'all-terrain' handset to better fit their lifestyle needs, and SouthernLINC Wireless responded by bringing the i580 into its product portfolio,'' said Bob Dawson, president and CEO of SouthernLINC Wireless.

The i580 is now available at any of the 12 SouthernLINC Wireless retail stores, through an authorized SouthernLINC Wireless dealer or online at www.southernlinc.com.
