Motorola and Verizon Wireless Confirm Launch Event on September 5

Major carrier Verizon Wireless and Motorola Mobility have just revealed they will be holding an event on September 5.

The “Save the Date” event will take place in New York and has been teased with “Motorola. On Display” which suggests that the US-based handset manufacturer might finally go official with the DROID RAZR HD.

Unfortunately for Motorola, Nokia and Microsoft already confirmed they will hold a common event where we think the companies will announce the first Windows Phone 8 devices.

It remains to be seen whether or not Motorola's event will go unnoticed. Although we're not sure that Motorola will be announcing the DROID RAZR HD, we're certain it has something to do with the high-definition of the display. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
