Shortly after having announced the upcoming availability of the Motorola ATRIX HD Developer Edition, the US-based handset maker confirmed the standard version of the RAZR HD has been released in Mexico.

Motorola RAZR HD is the first 4G-enabled smartphone available in Mexico. The device is exclusive to Telcel and you can have it for free with a new two-year 1000 Plus plan. Keep in mind that this promotional offer will be available until November 21.

Aside from LTE, the Motorola RAZR HD comes equipped with a powerful 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, accompanied by 1GB of RAM.

There are 16GB of memory inside, but only 12GB are available for users. Luckily, the phone features microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 32GB.

Another strong point of the RAZR HD is the hyper-vibrant 4.7-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass coating.

The device follows the same design line of the RAZR family of smartphones, which means it’s been built to last. In this regard, Motorola RAZR HD is encased in premium materials like DuPont KEVLAR fiber and splash resistant coating.

The phone drains energy from a high-capacity 2500 mAh Li-Polymer battery, which is rated by the manufacturer for up to 16 hours of talk time (22 hours in 3G mode).

Software-wise, the RAZR HD is powered by Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich platform out of the box, but Motorola confirmed a Jelly Bean upgrade will be available in the following months.

“With Telcel’s new 4G LTE Network, the fastest and the widest coverage in the country, our users can have a better experience with their mobile devices. Motorola RAZR HD will enable our customers to get the most out of our new LTE network, and it makes a perfect team with our new network,” said Marco Quatorze, America Movil and Telcel’s added value services director.
