Initially launched in Brazil, Motorola MOTOSMART Me has just landed in Mexico. The smartphone is now exclusively available via Telcel carrier.

Customers who wish to grab the MOTOSMART Me can do so for free with Telcel 100 PLUS 24M plan. No word on the no term price, but this one should be pretty cheap.

Motorola MOTOSMART Me is an Android smartphone powered by Gingerbread operating system. Don’t expect this device to be further upgraded to newer Android versions, but the smartphone might receive some minor updates from time to time.

Given the fact that MOTOSMART Me is Google-certified, users will have access to more than 675,000 apps and games via Google Play store.

The smartphone comes pre-loaded with Google full suite of apps and services as well, including Maps, Gtalk, YouTube and Search.

Motorola MOTOSMART Me sports a 3.2-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen display that supports 320 x 480 pixels resolution and 262k colors.

On the back, the handset packs a mediocre 2-megapixel photo snapper with video recording. The MOTOSMART Me is powered by a 800 MHz single-core Qualcomm MSM7227A-0 processor, which is complemented by an Adreno GPU and 512MB of RAM.

The smartphone embeds 512MB storage, but only 150MB are available for users. Luckily, MOTOSMART Me comes with microSD card slot or memory expansion (up to 32GB, 4GB memory card included).

Other highlights of the phone include: HSDPA and HSUPA support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS and DLNA connectivity.

“MOTOSMART Me lives up to its name, putting its intelligence to work to make your life easier. The simple, step-by-step tutorials will have you up and running in no time, even if you’ve never used a smartphone before, and the gorgeous design will make you want to show it off, wherever you go,” said Silvina Gonzalez, marketing director, Motorola Mobility Mexico.
