Major carrier Telcel has just confirmed the upcoming availability of the Motorola RAZR MAXX in Mexico. The smartphone is expected to arrive in early June for a price that will be disclosed closer to launch.

Motorola RAZR MAXX will be exclusive to Telcel in Mexico, which is also the first country in Latin America to launch the smartphone.

The smartphone will be shipped with Gingerbread onboard, though it will receive an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update in the following months.

According to Motorola, RAZR MAXX’s 3300 mAh Li-Ion battery should provide over 201 hours of talk time or 25 days of standby time.

The phone is equipped with a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, which is complemented by 1GB of RAM and a PowerVR SGX540 GPU. There’s also 16GB of internal memory that can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.

In addition, Motorola RAZR MAXX offers a premium experience thanks to its KEVLAR fiber coating, as well as Corning Gorilla Glass and splashguard protection.

It also comes with a hyper-vibrant 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED Advanced capacitive touchscreen display that supports 540 x 960 pixels resolution and 16 million colors.

Software-wise, RAZR MAXX comes pre-loaded with Smart Actions, MotoCast and other useful apps and services. With Motorola MotoCast, users can stream and/or download content from a computer onto the device while on the go. GoToMeeting and QuickOffice apps are included as well.

With RAZR MAXX, Motorola has, once again, innovated by creating the smartphone with the longest-lasting battery of any other on the market and combining the pinnacle of design with mind-blowing power. RAZR MAXX delivers an incredible battery life that is perfect for people who want to push their smartphone to the limits and banish the low battery beep to history,” said Silvina Gonzalez Podesta, marketing director, Motorola Mobility Mexico.
