Motorola and Microsoft have announced to take their relationship to the next step, that of extending their strategic relationship. As a result, high-end Motorola mobile computers will benefit from the Dynamics AX Mobile Sales solution.

The advantage of using this tool is that customers can now
make it possible for their mobile workers to use Motorola's devices as part of their activities. The need for both hardware and software solutions is what set the grounds for the partnership between Motorola and Microsoft.

"We are very excited about teaming with Motorola and its mobility solutions partners on a global basis. As a leader in enterprise mobility, Motorola has a strong partner program and the broad coverage needed to support Microsoft Dynamics' efforts to provide mobility solutions to our customers", commented on the deal Bjarne Schon, product unit manager of Microsoft Dynamics Mobile. Moreover, "We have been working very closely with Motorola Enterprise Mobility Solutions in the development of our tools and applications for well over a year", which only makes it natural to see the strategic bond taking shape at this point.

"By providing Motorola Enterprise Mobility partners and Microsoft Dynamics partners with the ability to utilize Microsoft Dynamics Mobile Development Tools and Microsoft Dynamics AX Mobile Sales application, we are now able to bring full solutions to Microsoft Dynamics AX customers. The extension of our relationship is great news for our channel partners and customers alike", said Jeremy Butt, vice president of worldwide channels for Motorola's Enterprise Mobility business.

The combination between tools and applications coming from Microsoft Dynamics and Motorola will help Microsoft expand their geographic reach and offer solutions to a larger number of people. Moreover, both companies will be able from now on to join the other vendor's partner community following a qualification process. Results will be seen in the solutions they will offer to their customers.
