Motorola and Lenovo, like others, were supposed to release, or at least demo, some Medfield-based tablets around the middle of the year (2012), as in now, but that won' be happening.

Whether because of Windows 8, the popularity of Android on ARM or something else, the two companies have delayed Medifeld/Android tablet PCs to after November.

The report that said this did not have any official words to impart, as Intel does not comment on unannounced products.

What it did allow for was speculation that perhaps Intel won't be able to make much of anything out of Medfield after all.

Microsoft will launch Windows 8 in October, and Intel's Clover Trail Atom Z2760 will be specially made for it, not Android.

More and more it looks like the tablet battle on the tablet market is turning in ARM's favor. The addition of 64-bit support through an ARM-TSMC partnership doesn't really help Intel's case either.
