Canadian mobile phone carrier Bell might be set to add to its offering in the near future a brand new Android-based mobile phone, namely the Motorola XT860, which is said to be none other than the Milestone 3 handset that landed at Verizon in the US as the DROID 3.

Apparently, Canadians might have the opportunity to purchase the new mobile phone as soon as August 4th, at least this is what a recently leaked document from the wireless carrier suggests.

Running under Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and packing a fast dual-core application processor, the new device would certainly prove a great addition to the wireless carrier's lineup.

However, it won't be the only such device set to land in Canada soon, as the Samsung Galaxy S II is also on its way to the market in the country, following the launch of HTC Sensation 4G only a few days ago.

Motorola XT860 is said to be on its way to Bell Canada with a 1GHz dual-core application processor inside, complemented by 1GB of RAM for increased performance capabilities.

Moreover, it would come with a 4-inch qHD touchscreen display, but with the same sliding design as the DROID 3 in the United States, sporting a QWERTY keyboard hidden beneath the screen.

On the back, the new device would sport an 8 megapixel photo snapper that can record videos in full HD 1080p.

Other specifications of this device would include MHL port, along with support for HSPA 14.4Mbps, WiFi capabilities, WiFi Hotspot capabilities, and the like.

Basically, it should include all of the features and specs that the Motorola DROID 3 was unveiled with yesterday, but without the CDMA connectivity it landed at Verizon with.

For the time being, no specific info on the price tag the handset might sport at Bell emerged, but it might not be too long before the wireless carrier makes all the necessary details available.
