Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless is gearing up for the launch of new devices on its airwaves in the near future, with the 4G-capable HTC ThunderBolt smartphone and the Motorola XOOM tablet PC among them.

The company went official with its plans for the release of these devices at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in early 2011, but did not offer specific details on the launch day or price tags they would sport when available.

However, some leaked documents from the company, which emerged over at Android Central, seem to offer some info on the cost of these devices, though their launch dates are still unknown.

As for the price tags they might sport, the said document shows that HTC ThunderBolt might go for $249.99 on contract at the wireless carrier, which is $50 more than the cost high-end smartphones usually sport at the carrier.

The Motorola XOOM is said to feature a price tag of $799.99 at Verizon, though this might be the unsubsidized cost.

Since the iPad is available for less, there would certainly be users saying that the XOOM is too costly, though some would still find it appealing that's for sure.

Hopefully, these are not the final prices that these devices might sport at the wireless carrier, and they would end up a little cheaper when made available for purchase.

Both of them are high-end, not to mention that they would offer support for Verizon's 4G LTE network, and it would not come as a surprise if they are priced higher.

We should also note that these are not the only LTE-capable devices that Big Red plans on making available for purchase during the first half of the ongoing year.

A nice range of other Android-based LTE handsets are also on their way to the carrier, from makers like LG, Motorola or Samsung, as well as other tablet PCs with 4G connectivity, such as a new version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab.
