Motorola XOOM, the first tablet PC to arrive on shelves with Googles' Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system, is set to land in the UK exclusively on Carphone Warehouse in April with 3G connectivity on board, and the retailer already listed the device on its website. UK users interested in the purchase of this Android device can now head over to the special page the company put up for it, and sign up to be informed on its availability in the country.

“Pre-register now for the Motorola XOOM 3G tablet, only at The Carphone Warehouse. Already winning awards before its release, Motorola XOOM 3G is built to be beautiful, powerful and to bring you full HD entertainment, both at home and on the move,” the retailer notes on its website.

As stated above, the company expects for the new device to become available for purchase sometime in April, but a specific release date is not known at the moment. Specific info on its price tag lack as well.

Packing a 10.1-inch HD widescreen display that boasts a 1280 x 800-pixel resolution, the smartphone can offer a great multimedia experience on the go.

“See your favourite flicks the way the filmmaker intended, view every detail of your family photos, and play immersive 3D games of incredible depth and quality,” Carphone Warehouse states.

The Motorola XOOM comes with support for 720p HD entertainment, and also enables users connect it to a full HD 1080p TV, for an enhanced experience.

The specifications list of the new Android tablet also includes a dual-core application processor, 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options, GPS receiver, dual cameras, with one on the front for video calling, and more.

The tablet PC also comes with enhanced support for Google Mobile Services, as well as for a wide range of applications that can be downloaded via the Android Market.
