Even though the XOOM is not among the most successful products launched by Motorola this year, it looks like the company already plans the tablet's successor, the XOOM 2.

We received the first confirmation on the Motorola XOOM 2 upcoming release earlier this week, when the tablet showed up in a Carphone Warehouse advert.

Although the advert states that the slate will be available in stores by Christmas time, it is rumored that the XOOM 2 will be launched in the UK tomorrow.

According to the folks over at OneMobileRing, Motorola started to send invites for a launch event that includes ‘a hands-on demo with a new device.’

There's a slim chance that the device showcased tomorrow in the UK will be Motorola's XOOM 2 tablet, but the company may introduce the ATRIX 2, which has yet to be announced.
